At MIPIM 2008 Australian developer launches $150 million development in Canada

Cannes, 10 March, 2008

Australian property developer Walker Corporation, under the leadership Mr Lang Walker, has today launched its latest integrated resort development to be known as 46┬░North Resort. The CAN$150 million development will comprise 150 log homes with Owner's Lodge and leisure/resort infrastructure situated on a pristine 500 acre site with impressive forest, lakes, waterfalls and streams located in the Mt Tremblant area of Quebec, Canada.

The project is the first Canadian project undertaken by Walker, although the company has successfully developed luxury homes in Aspen, Colorado and Whitefish, Montana in USA in recent years.

"The success of our $400 million Hope Island Resort integrated residential and golf course development in Queensland as well as The Wharf at Woolloomooloo in Sydney which won the International Waterfront Award for world's best waterfront in 2000 proves we have the skill to create exciting mixed-use and recreational environments", said Walker Corporation's Executive Chairman, Lang Walker.

Walker Corporation is one of Australia's largest developers with residential, retail, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments across Australia. Some of the company's other landmark projects include a AUD$900 million commercial/retail development in Melbourne and the delivery of over 30,000 housing lots in new integrated communities in Australia in the next 10-15 years. The company also has a significant mixed-use waterfront development underway in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

The company is actively seeking new opportunities in North America and Europe.

Walker is represented at MIPIM 2008. Journalists interested in participating in familiarisation tour to report about the new development at Mt Tremblant are invited to contact: Canada | US - 1 888 378_3246.
